Matrix format traceability confirmation and editing

Overview

There are two types of trace page display formats: tree format and matrix format, and you can switch them at any time according to your purpose. On the trace page in matrix format, you can add/delete the missing trace information while checking the traceability by arranging the two models vertically and horizontally.

The following describes the traceability confirmation method in matrix format in the following order.

• Switch between tree format and matrix format
• Switch the model to check
• Edit trace information directly in matrix format

Switching between tree format and matrix format

To switch between the tree format and the matrix format on the trace page, follow the procedure below.

Operating procedure

1. Click Traceability> Page> Trace from the ribbon to display the trace page.
2. With two or more lanes side by side, with the lanes in tree format displayed on the trace page.
3. Display the model you want to display on the vertical and horizontal axes in the matrix format on the first and second lanes in the tree format.
4. From the ribbon, click Traceability> View> Matrix to switch the trace page to a matrix format with an icon indicating the direction of the derivation relationship between the models.
5. Click Traceability> View> Tree from the ribbon to return to the tree format.

Note

• The model displayed in the third and subsequent lanes in the tree format is ignored.

Switch the model to be checked

Follow the procedure below to switch the model displayed vertically and horizontally in the matrix format.

Operating procedure

1. Select from the previously saved [Trace Set] to switch the model to be displayed.
2. If the model you want to display has not been saved as a display target, save the model order by following the procedure below and then switch the display target.

Edit trace information directly in matrix format

Follow the steps below to directly edit the trace information in the matrix format.

Operating procedure

1. In the matrix format, double-click the white cell at the vertical and horizontal intersections to add the derivation relationship between models and display the icon. (Gray cells cannot be edited because the derivation relationship between models is not defined in the metamodel)
2. Double-click the icon showing the derived relationship between models to delete the derived relationship.
